Tell me about your company. What do you do?
  • The International WHO'S WHO Historical Society™ has been documenting biographies in history since 1928. We specialize in providing members with accurate biographical data on some of the most prolific business professionals in the world. In contrast to our competitors, our expanded biographies are written in an easy-to-read and use format. Free of confusing jargon or codes. To maximize networking usefulness, our member's biographies are not only indexed by the individual's last name, but also by their company name, their geographic area, and the specific industry in which they work allowing members to target their networking efforts to reach markets for expanding their business.

How long have you been in business?
  • We are commemorating 85 years. The International WHO'S WHO Historical Society™ has been documenting biographies on successful professionals since 1928. Over the years, we have evolved into a series of highly selective and prestigious international reference publications..

Are you affiliated with any other Who's Who?
  • No. We are not affiliated with any other WHO’S WHO organization. Our publications are compiled and published by the International WHO'S WHO Historical Society™.

I have received a call or have been contacted by another WHO’S WHO. What do I do?
  • Unlike other WHO’S WHO organizations, we do not sell or share any of the information our members have submitted to us. We do this to protect our member’s from being put on mailing lists and getting unsolicited phone calls. If you have been contacted by another WHO’S WHO organization, do not disclose any of your personal contact or credit card details and contact us immediately. We are not affiliated with any other WHO’S WHO organization.

I have received this nomination letter and abbreviated biographical data form. What does it mean?
  • The letter you have received means that you have been referred to us as a potentially qualified candidate for inclusion in one of our prestigious professional reference directories. The abbreviated biographical data form is an application to determine if you are eligible for inclusion. Upon receipt of your data form, our Membership Selection Committee will review your application and if you are qualified for inclusion, we will contact you.

How did you get my name?
  • Your name was submitted to our organization in one of two ways. Our research staff may have chosen you as one of the best possible candidates by researching trade journals, business publications, and organizations like Dun & Bradstreet.
    We also send nomination forms to all of our members so they are provided with the opportunity to nominate anyone they feel would benefit from membership. We do not, however, keep any records as to the source of the nomination in an effort to avoid embarrassment to the candidate or nominating member in the event of a rejection of an application.

Why do I have to give all this personal information?
  • The International WHO’S WHO Historical Society™ takes the inclusion process a bit further than the academic, vanity, and social registries. Our professional business directories are published with the intent of providing recognition, exposure and publicity based upon one's lifetime accomplishments, whether they be academic, social, or professional. Our goal is to maintain a high caliber of our membership by providing accurate and complete professional biographies.

Who uses these books?
  • Our directories are proprietary publications made available only to members for networking purposes. The biographies are cross-indexed by industry, geographic area, company name, and member's name. There are strict guidelines that are followed regarding the level of the member included in our directories. Each title has specific requirements for inclusion including job title, number of years in service, educational background, and personal accomplishments.

    Below is an example of basic qualifications for some of our titles:
    • International WHO'S WHO of Professionals honors Presidents, Vice President, Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers, and Chairmen of major corporations from around the globe.
    • International WHO'S WHO of Professional Management spotlights General Managers, Departmental Managers, Executive Assistants, Personnel Directors, and Team Leaders.
    • International WHO'S WHO of Entrepreneurs is comprised of independent owners of businesses of all sizes.
    • International WHO'S WHO of Information Technology includes achievers in the area of technology as utilized in all fields and industries.
    • International WHO'S WHO of Professional Educators includes teachers, instructors, professors, and other educators from a variety of institutes of learning.
    • International WHO'S WHO of Professional administrators includes executive and administrative assistants, from a variety of corporations from around the globe.
    • International WHO'S WHO of Public Service recognizes outstanding public servants in such fields as law enforcement, civil service, and public safety.

How many members do you have?
  • At the present time, our membership consists of more than 80,000 professionals worldwide.

Do I have to buy anything?
  • No, there is no cost or obligation for a free non-member listing in our directory. Membership is completely voluntary. If you are accepted, you will be contacted regarding the outcome and given an opportunity to purchase membership. Everyone who successfully completes the one-to-one interview with a Membership Selection Committee representative will be listed in the publication in our non-member section.

How much does the directory cost?
  • We do not publish hard bound directories. All of our titles are published electronically on our website.

Are your prices in U.S. currency? Can I find your book/publication in my library or bookstore?
  • Our electronic directories are strictly proprietary, for our member's use only. Since they are electronic, they are not available in libraries or the Library of Congress.

Are your publications available in any language other than English?

What is included in my membership?
  • As a member of the International WHO'S WHO Historical Society™, you will receive a customized biography, a personalized certificate, access to our Knowledge Bank™, also known as the WHO'S WHO Kbank. You will also be given your own WHO'S WHO email account and have access to our quarterly newsletter. Depending on the membership purchased, a variety of additional products and services are available to accompany your membership including access to Books Online, customized plaques, bookends, bookmarks, and our Godinger™ crystal paperweights.

How do I place an order?
  • Our organization is a closed membership meaning, you have to be a qualified candidate who is approved by our Membership Selection Committee. We take our selection process serious. Once you have completed your application, you will be contacted by a representative from our organization if your application has been approved by the Membership Selection Committee and you have successfully completed a one-to-one interview. Only at that time will membership options be presented to you.

Are your prices in U.S. dollars? What methods of payments are accepted?
  • At the current time, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Optima, Diners Club, Carte Blanc, PayPal, Western Union, and bank wire transfers.

  • In order to ensure all information you transmit during the ordering process is secure, we utilize encryption technology on a secure payment site.

After I purchase my membership, how long will it take for me to receive my welcome package?
  • You should receive your welcome package within 7-14 business days after purchasing your membership.

  • Once you become a member, you will have access to our Books Online area within 24 hours or less.

How do I renew my membership?
  • Each member will receive a membership renewal package which will provide them with an opportunity to update their customized biography prior to being published in the following year’s edition. Members may also contact a Membership Service Representative at (202) 544-7136 at any time throughout the year regarding membership renewal.

How do I nominate someone?
  • A nomination form is included in your welcome package. You may utilize our online form to submit a nomination or contact a Membership Services Representative at (202) 544-7136.

Why do I need a username and password?
  • Your username and password enables you to enter the "Members Only" section of our Web site and is used to gain access to Books Online.

How can I get an invoice?
  • Members will receive an email confirmation confirming the charge. An additional invoice will be included in the welcome package. If an additional invoice is needed, please contact a Membership Services Representative at (202) 544-7136.

How do I get my username and password? What is the status of my corrections?
  • In order to determine the status of your corrections to your biography, contact a Membership Services Representative at (202) 544-7136 for assistance.

How do I make corrections to my biography?
  • Each member receives a copy of their biography on a typeset proof in their welcome package. You can make any necessary changes to your biography on the typeset proof and return it in the envelope provided. Typeset proofs may also be faxed to (202) 544-4469. If you require additional changes after submitting your typeset proof, contact a Membership Services Representative at (202) 544-7136 for assistance.

Can I make corrections online?
  • At the current time, we require all corrections to be submitted in writing in order to guarantee the utmost accuracy for our members.

How long do I have to make a correction to my biography?
  • We ask members to submit corrections to their biography within 10 business days after receiving it in their welcome package.

How can I change my name on my certificate or plaque?

My item was damaged in shipping. How can I replace it?

What is the best format to submit my logo?
  • Logos submitted for inclusion in the directories should be black and white camera-ready artwork. Logos appearing in the directories will measure 1"x 2". The best electronic format is as a .tif, .jpeg, or .gif image.

Can I send my logo via email?
  • Sending a logo via email is acceptable. You can submit your logo in a .tif, .jpeg, or .gif format to communicationsdept@whoswhohistoricalsociety.com.

How can I get a copy of the quarterly newsletter? What is the status of my picture and biography in the newsletter?
  • Pictures and biographies are included in the newsletter in the order in which they were received and as space permits.
